Focus on what matters
At Mountain View Academy, we believe in meeting each child where they are at in their learning, and working with them as individuals to meet their greatest potential. We are student-focused and family-oriented, and provide a safe, encouraging environment for students to thrive.
Our teachers and classes
We currently employ three full-time teachers, and two administrators who also teach part time. Our teachers have over 60 years of collective experience between them. In addition to the core subjects of math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, we also provide a variety of electives for our middle and high school students. Our founding teacher administrators also have backgrounds in psychology and human development.
We also love to encourage parent and community involvement! If you have any skills or lessons you feel would be valuable to impart, please email Mrs. Allen at jasie.allen@mtnva.org
All volunteers who do not have a fingerprint clearance card on file will be monitored/assisted by Mountain View staff while on campus.
What is SEL?
We are a Social-Emotional Learning based school. We believe students need to feel safe and respected in order to learn. This means that we maintain a strict code of conduct, and focus on teaching coping, inter and intrapersonal skills, and life skills.
